Courage

Hi Parents!

We're excited about our new blog and hope you will check in with us regularly to catch up on all the latest and greatest happenings at Bay Life Kids!

“It’s ELEMENTARY, my dear Watson!”
In our elementary groups, we study a new verse and virtue every month. We also have  a virtue hero for the month, each one created by a Bay Life member.  Here’s what we're studying this month:

MARCH
Virtue: “Courage —being brave enough to do what you should do even when you’re afraid.”
Memory Verse: “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
Courageous bible story characters: Queen Esther, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, David and Goliath, and Daniel.
Virtue Hero: “Captain Courageous”!

Every week, the kids have an opportunity to earn hero trading cards that they can redeem for special treats or prizes. They earn hero cards for good behavior, memorizing the verse or the virtue, and/or memorizing the books of the bible. Kids love this and it makes learning fun! You can encourage learning too, by asking your elementary age child what they’ve learned each week in their class.

PRESCHOOL
Growing into a Life of Faith
During the month of March, children will learn that they can follow Jesus. Their Bible stories will be from the New Testament, including Matthew throwing a party for Jesus, Jesus' healing of a paralytic, the multiplying of a boy’s lunch, and Jesus spending time with His disciples.

Key Concepts: 1) Telling others about Jesus; 2) We can learn about Jesus; 3) Helping others and giving to others.

Each week, children will bring home a color sheet with a synopsis of their lesson and a family activity on the reverse side for you to review at home with your child. This is designed so that we can partner together in carrying out the lesson and the key concept learned.

It is a pleasure to serve your children and the people of Bay LIfe Church.
