Welcome to the Bay Life Church Children's Ministry blog. We hope that you'll follow us regularly as we provide you with Bay Life Kids ministry events, news and information.
We have a new children's pastor! Congratulations to Betsy Lowe as she assumes this role. Soon after Mary Aycrigg moved to Orlando and resigned her position as Children's Pastor, a nationwide search began to find the pastor that would be the best fit for us. After considering candidates from all over the country, our search lead us right back home. Betsy has always been a valuable part of our ministry and many of you know her very well as she's been serving as our Assistant Children's Pastor for several years. We're excited to now have her in this lead role.
Also joining Betsy is Wendy Stough, our new Elementary Director and Curriculum Specialist. Wendy comes to us from our Lambkins Preschool and Day Care where she has served as Assistant Director - many of you will know her as our regular Elementary worship leader. Wendy and Betsy bring us a wealth of knowledge and ministry experience that will be of great benefit to the families of Bay Life. We're so excited to see how God is going to work through these two women as they lead. Congratulations to both of them!
Our Kids First Step Class starts on March 27th. This class is for those children who have accepted Christ as their savior and want to follow Him into the next step of baptism. This class discusses salvation, baptism and also teaches children and their parents about communion, bible study and church membership. This two-week class and is held at the same time as our 9 am Sunday service and attendance by a parent or guardian is required with each child. To register, look for the First Step registration table in the Children's building lobby in March.
