Bay Life Kids - Who Started Christmas?
I received this story in my e-mail inbox today and thought it was worth sharing. I, like alot of other people I know, tend to feel overwhelmed around Christmas. Let us always remember the real reason for the season....JESUS!
---Tammy Paul
WHO STARTED CHRISTMAS?
This morning I heard a story on the radio of a woman who was out Christmas shopping with her two children. After many hours of looking at row after row of toys and everything else imaginable. And after hours of hearing both her children asking for everything they saw on those many shelves, she finally made it to the elevator with her two kids.
She was feeling what so many of us feel during the holiday season time of the year. Overwhelming pressure to go to every party, every housewarming, taste all the holiday food and treats, getting that perfect gift for every single person on our shopping list, making sure we don't forget anyone on our card list, and the pressure of making sure we respond to everyone who sent us a card.
Finally, the elevator doors opened and there was already a crowd in the car. She pushed her way into the car and dragged her two kids in with her along with all the bags of stuff. When the doors closed she couldn't take it anymore and stated, "Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be found, strung up and shot."
From the back of the car everyone heard a quiet calm voice respond, "Don't worry...we already crucified him." For the rest of the trip down the elevator, it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
Don't forget this year to keep the One who started this whole Christmas thing in your every thought, deed, purchase, and word. If we all did it, just think of how different this whole world would be.

BAY LIFE KIDS - Preschool Preview
Hi Parents,
Christmas! The word itself stirs feelings of extraordinary excitement. And rightly so. During the holiday season there are reminders of the season everywhere. But let’s be sure our children know what the excitement is really about. How can we help a young child realize that Christmas is a celebration of gratitude to God for His wonderful gift of love? There are several ways you can make the biblical and spiritual aspects of Christmas meaningful and attractive to a young child.
Help children know the simple facts of Jesus’ birth as they are recorded in Scripture.
• Tell or read the story of the first Christmas to children from Bible storybooks or from an easy-to-understand version of the Bible.
• Allow children to participate in assembling a manger scene. Retell the story of Jesus’ birth as they move the figures, or invite children to tell the story as you move the figures.
Help children feel that Jesus is God’s best gift of love.
• Remember that much of a child’s response is a reflection of the attitudes he or she sees from you. Nurture feelings of joy, love and thankfulness in your child.
• In the presence of your child, give thanks to God for Jesus.
• Include children in your church’s plans for expressing love to Jesus by caring and loving others (collect canned foods or personal care items for a rescue mission, fill a shoebox with age-appropriate gifts to be given to needy children, etc.). With your child, talk about the gifts the wise men gave to Jesus to show their love for Him.
Explain that we give gifts to others at Christmas to show our love for them.
Help your child express joy, excitement and feelings of love.
• Show gladness as you sing about Jesus’ birth.
• Be sensitive to moments when it is natural to talk about Jesus’ birth and encourage your child to thank God in prayer for sending Jesus to be born.
Keep Santa in the proper perspective.
• Avoid referring to Santa as a real person. If a child talks about Santa, say “Talking about Santa is fun. But it’s even better to talk about Jesus who loves us all year long.”
• Avoid the “What do you want Santa to bring you for Christmas?” and “Be good for Santa” emphases.
• Keep the meaning of Christmas clear by frequently commenting on it. “Christmas is a happy time because it is Jesus’ birthday. People give presents to show their love. God showed His love by giving us Jesus.”

BRING YOUR BIBLES THIS WEEK!
HOOPS Challenge (11/13-11/19)
Read Judges 6:11-18. Have you ever felt too little to do something? Think of some times when your size or your age made you think you couldn’t do it. That’s how Gideon felt.
Read Gideon’s story and find out what made Gideon a winner. Was it something he decided to do or something God did through him? Pray with your family for God’s strength to fight for what God has given you.

KEY BIBLE VERSE:
“With love, help each other.” Galatians 5:13
Most young children love to be helpers. Ask yourself these questions to see where you can assist your child to become a better helper.
Does my child see in me a helper attitude? Does your child hear me ask others, “Can I help you?”
Do I notice my child when he or she has been a good helper? Do I thank my child? “Thank you for helping me carry in the groceries.”
Do I let my child help when he or she wants to, even though it might be easier and quicker to do it myself?
(Gospel Light, Family Fun Time Fall 2011)
Ways your child can help at home:
Help carry in groceries
Set the dinner table, place mats and napkins
Pick up toys at bedtime
Put their trash in the trash can
Put their clothes in the hamper
Help with sibling
Parents,
Each week, the three and four year old children will bring home Family Fun Time pages with a synopsis of the day’s Bible story, family activities, conversation and prayer for you and your preschooler to do together at home. These pages provide a fun, interactive way for you to reinforce the Bible stories learned with easy practical ways for you to continue spiritual learning at home.

BAY LIFE KIDS ELEMENTARY NEWS!
ATTENTION: NO PRAISE TEAM this Thursday, November 10th.
Strike the Rock!
We are still collecting items for the Women’s Resource Center of Tampa. There are 4 items we are collecting for this service project; jelly, juice, canned fruit and mayonnaise. Students should bring items to their small group on Sunday so it can be counted as one of their service projects working toward that glow-in-the-dark jibbitz!
What are HOOPS challenges?
HOOPS challenges are an opportunity for parents and students to dive into God’s word during the week and talk about it. Start with watch the 60 second review that is posted every Tuesday. Then read the passage. Finally, use the questions as a starting point for discussion. Talk about what you as a parent think and then find out what your students think too. It’s just that easy! Students can get credit for a challenge by bringing to small group some of their answers to the challenge questions. Parents can also send an email with some “notes” to wstough@baylife.org
HOOPS Challenge (11/6-11/12)
Read Joshua 3:1-17. What did God ask the Israelites to do? What did the people think about Jericho? Did Joshua look at the walls around Jericho from the people’s perspective or God’s perspective?
Can you think of a time when things looked really hard in your life? When you look at the bigger picture, God’s perspective, did the problem seem as big?

Bay Life Kids 5th Grade
EXCITING 5TH GRADE NEWS!
The following is a wonderful testimony that we are excited to share. This is from Vicki Rogers, one of our 5th grade coordinators:
October 16, 2011 was a great day. Our 5th grade class has been studying the Old Testament people and events to answer the question “Why did Jesus have to come”? They saw the fall of man through Adam, the calling forth of a people and race through Abraham, Joseph saving them from famine and Moses rescuing them fromEgypt . We went through the 40 years in the wilderness, the Ten Commandments, Elijah, and then 800 years later, Jesus comes. We worked on building up to the big day that salvation would come to mankind. The penalty of our sins would be dealt with by the Son of God. Sunday was the BIG DAY. Finally, He came, chose His disciples, taught them, and established the new covenant by going to the cross.
We talked about His sacrifice, His agony, and the extraordinary events that happened that wonderful day. He rose from the dead and salvation was complete with His resurrection and the sending of the Holy Spirit.
I grabbed a dollar bill, held it up high and said “Whoever comes up here and takes this dollar can have it. They all just looked at me. I repeated the phrase. After a bit, two boys came at me and jumped and one of them took the dollar. I looked at him and said, “put it in your pocket and make it yours.’ I said to the class, it was mine to give to whoever wanted it, but this boy reached out and took it. Now it’s his. The rest of you just looked at me. They said, “But it was too easy. We thought you would call us greedy or something.”
I said “A lot of people say that faith alone is too easy when accepting what Jesus did. You have to take His payment as your own. Make it yours, make him your Lord. YOU have to take it. No one else can take salvation for you. It’s your choice.”
One of the boys in the front row looked at me and said, “Can we do it now?”
Now this is the part that I love. My mind raced. I glanced around the room. Every eye was looking at me. Should I leave this to small group time or just go with it? In about a nanosecond I said “Sure, lets all bow are heads. If this is the first time you REALLY understood about what Jesus did for you on the cross that day, and if you want to take His offer of salvation and make it yours, then you need to grab it. If you want Him as YOUR savior and you receive what He did for you, in your place, then raise your hand.”
The room was so thick with the presence of God. Hands were raised as high as they could go and it took our breath away. My mouth fell open, I looked at Ken, he was frozen, I glanced at Susan her mouth was open. I could barely breathe. 17 hands had lifted. 17. All I could do was whisper “thank you Jesus.”

Children's Ministry - Week of October 31st
Parents,
If you haven't had the opportunity to have your young child dedicated, we are offering a child dedication service on November 20th. This is a time where the church pledges to support the parents in raising their children in a Christian home. Completed applications are due this Sunday, November 6th. There will be a luncheon held for those parents dedicating children on November 13th where we will explain the church's part in the covenant and to answer any questions. Applications are available at the INFOdesk in either building. The next child dedication will be held in May.
IN ELEMENTARY......
This week we learned how God provided for the Israelites. God gave them food and water in miraculous ways. We also talked about how God provides for our needs. This week Kids’ Live kicks of “Strike the Rock”, our opportunity for God to use us to provide for others. We are asking students, if they are able, to donate one of four items to area families in need. We are looking for donations of jelly, juice, canned fruit and mayonnaise. All donations will be given to the Women’s Resource Center of Tampa. Student should bring their donations to church on Sunday and give them to their small group leader. These donations are an act of service that is counted toward earning a service jibbitz for each student’s bracelet.

ELEMENTARY
Here is the elementary video for the week of October 24th.
KIDS LIVE
This week we talked about the story of Passover and reviewed the 10 plagues that had been sent by God upon the Egyptian people. Your family can read about these things and more in Exodus 7-12. Take time this week to pray with your family that God would watch over you, just as He did the Israelites.
HOOPS Challenge (10/24-10/29)
Read about the Israelites’ exit from Egypt in Exodus 12-14. Although they had followed Moses out of Egypt, the people hadn’t “Opened their heart” to God. In this passage, how did God show that He was with them?

Week of October 23
Here's what's happening in the PRESCHOOL classes this month:
During the month of October the children will learn “God loves me”. The children will be studying the life of Samuel. Lesson will include:
Helping at the Tabernacle
1 Samuel 1:28; 2:11, 18-21, 26
Samuel Listens and Obeys
1 Samuel 3
Samuel obeys God
1 Samuel 16:1-13
The Key Bible Verse is:
Psalm 116:1 “I love the Lord.”
The Key Concept kids will learn:
We can show love by helping others, listening and obeying, and choosing to do what is right.
How can you help your child: PRAY and PLAY
Parents need to pray and play daily with their kids. Prayer before school and bedtime is an important aspect of a child’s faith growth. More importantly, prayer is spiritually intimate and leads to a heart connection between parent and child. (Children’s Ministry Magazine Oct. 2011)

It's Elementary!
Your HOOPS challenge this week (10/17-10/22) is to read about the first 9 plagues that God sent against Egypt. (Exodus 6-10). They were sent to show the Egyptians that there was only one true God. Use HOOPS to think about what Pharaoh did in this time.
What is a HOOPS Challenge?
Each week your student will be challenged with a take home activity called a HOOPS Challenge. These activities help them look a little closer at the lesson and give their family a chance to guide them in their pursuit of Christ. The first challenges are listed on the back of the “Exodus” card your student received this past weekend. The challenges will also be posted here every week.
How do we complete a HOOPS Challenge?
To complete a challenge you have to start with HOOPS. Each letter represents something we can look at in the passage and is broken down below.
Hear God – How did the person hear God? What did God say?
Open your heart – Did they trust God? Was it easy for them to trust Him?
Obey God – Did the person follow God’s command? Did they do it right away?
Pray – Did they talk to God? Did they ask for His help or guidance?
Serve – By hearing, opening their heart, obey and praying to God how did they serve? Did they serve God or others?
Sometimes the answers will be easy and sometimes you need to think and talk about what happened. This is where parents are vital in helping guide their students to answers that lead them to deepen their faith and understanding.
Once we complete a challenge…then what?
There are two things you can do once you complete a challenge.
1. Bring in what you’ve done and discovered. Small group leaders will collect or record the HOOPS Challenges for their students. Please be sure the student’s full name is on the challenge. Once your child has completed 10 challenges they earn a glow in the dark star for their bracelet.
2. Don’t Stop! Use these challenges with the “Kids Live in 60 Seconds” to disciple your child. These are just starting points for your family to learn more about the word and talk about what that means in your family. Read the passages that surround our lesson. See where it started or what happened after the lesson. You could even use a devotion to guide your reading. Find a reason to read the Bible with your child every day.
Your student may start these challenges to earn a reward, but what they get from this time with you is priceless. By reading God’s word together, they get the story and can see Christ working in you. These challenges are made to give you a starting point to sharing God with your child, the rest is up to you.

Elementary Video Review
Moses was called to be a messenger of God to the Israelite people and the Egyptians. This wasn’t good news to Moses. He made many excuses for why he couldn’t be God’s messenger, but it wasn’t about Moses. This story is what God did through Moses despite his imperfection. God can do anything, we just have to let him. God still calls us today to be his messengers whether it is at school, the soccer field, or maybe even at home. When we get the chance to share God with others we have to remember it’s not about us, but what God can do through us.

October News
October is a busy month for Bay Life Kids. We have many classes being offered that we'd like to tell you more about. Here is some of what's being offered by our children's ministry:
Welcome to the Nursery is a class offered to new or expectant parents who are interested in finding out more about our nursery program. This class is designed to introduce parents to the nursery coordinators, tour the classrooms, learn parental and classroom expectations, as well as show you ways you can pray biblical characteristics over your child. The next class is October 9th.
Kids First Step is a class designed for kids in 3rd through 5th grade who are ready to be baptized and/or desire church membership. It's a two week class that teaches them about salvation, baptism, bible study and communion. A parent or guardian is required to attend with their child. The next class is October 16th.
Live Out Loud is a kids discipleship class. It's a four week class that is designed as a follow-up to our Kids First Step class. It's for children in 3rd through 5th grade who have completed Kids First Step and have been baptized. This class helps teach kids the next steps they should take in their Christian walk and how to live out their faith. The next class begins on October 30th.
Child Dedication is offered twice a year. This is an opportunity for parents to dedicate their children to the Lord and to establish a covenant between themselves and the church body to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Those parents who wish to dedicate their children are invited to a luncheon on the 13th where our children's pastor will discuss more about the covenant and the purpose of the dedication. The next dedication will be held November 19 - 20. Applications are available now.

Growing a child is a full time job. We have 20 different roles as parents and the list is never ending. As a church we want to help with your most important job, discipling your child. We only see your child one day a week, but we want to give you opportunities to sit down with your child every week and read God’s word. To help with this Kids Live, Elementary Ministry, will be posting a video review of what we covered on Sunday every week. This will give you a starting point to go back and read the scripture and then talk about it with your child. As we get this process down we will also post challenges for families and different things to help you grow your child.
Here’s the first installment about Joseph from Genesis 37-45. (As you read Chapter 39 about Potiphar’s wife, you’ll need to filter the information to make it appropriate for your child’s age).Take time this week to read through the scriptures and talk about it with your child. Keep our power point we learned in mind as you read, God can use hard times to help me grow.

Big Sunday!
Hi Parents!
On Sunday, August 7th, we have two big changes occurring!
First, we are transitioning to three service times: 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30. We are providing a children's ministry during all three services times.
Secondly, we are promoting all children into the next "grade level" in preparation for the fall school year. That means that your child will be moved into their next grade/age appropriate class.
The check-in process remains the same. For elementary children (Kindergarten-5th), just confirm with the registration attendant what grade your child will be starting in the fall to ensure that we place your child into the correct class. If you have a preschool aged child, those children are placed according to their date of birth and the computer check-in system should automatically place them into their proper room. If you have a nursery-aged child (3-24 months), we "graduate" those children according to ability throughout the year.
With the addition of a third service, we have had to rearrange some of our classes and times. Our 5th graders will meet during one of two services; 2nd or 3rd service. Ignite (6th, 7th & 8th grade) will meet only during the 2nd service and Elevate (9th-12th grades) will meet only during the 3rd service.
We will still offer Hang Time for those elementary-aged children who are attending more than one service due to a parent volunteering. Hang Time will only be offered during the 2nd service.
We have added a follow-up program to our Kids First Step class. It is called "Live Out Loud" and is a 5 week class that is designed as a discipleship training once your child has been baptized. This class is offered for children in 3rd through 5th grade during the 2nd service. We will offer it periodically throughout the year. The first class begins Sunday, August 14th. Interested? Sign up at the Info Desk or contact us and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
We still have many volunteer needs. If you are interested in serving in the children's ministry, we would love to have you. See one of our Children's Ministry staff members for more info on how you can help!

July
Hi Parents!
We are in the midst of summer and what a busy one we have had so far! Kidapalooza was a huge success! We reached out to more than 550 children in our church and community and we were blessed with 150 volunteers. It was a fantastic week of fun, faith and friends. If you would like to see pictures of the event, T.J. Towers, of Majestic Memories, took hundreds of pictures during the entire week. You can check them out on Facebook at Majestic Memories Photography.
Sunday volunteers needed! We have several volunteer positions available in our children's ministry department. No experience necessary...just a desire to love on the children and their families. Does this sound like something you could do? Have some questions? Contact us and we'll share how you can serve!
IT'S ELEMENTARY!
There will be no Praise Team practice during the summer. If your child would like to be a part of our praise team on Sunday mornings, you can call for a copy of the Praise Team practice DVD and CD. They contain all of our songs and the moves that go with them. We will start practice up again in the fall, once school begins. Practices at that time will be every Thursday in the Family Chapel from 6:00-6:30pm. Come join the fun!
Has your child accepted Jesus into their heart? Do they have questions? Do they know what to do next? Do they want to be baptized? As a parent, you can help them understand how to grow in Christ and follow His example. We want to partner with you in helping your child know how to do just that. Our Kids First Step class will help your child understand salvation and help you both decide if they are ready for baptism and/or church membership. This is a 2 week class for kids in 3rd through 5th grade and held during the 2nd service. A parent or guardian must attend with them. These classes are offered several times a year. The next class is August 21st and 28th. The church bulletin will announce when and where you can sign up. For more detailed information, please contact us.
NURSERY
Here's a tip to helping your child transistion. If your child is having difficulty with separation anxiety, (or perhaps even you are!), consider volunteering in your child's classroom. Your child gets to experience the comfort of having you in new surroundings while they adjust and lets them know everything is going to be ok. This will not only help your child but gives you an opportunity to be obedient to Christ's calling as you serve!

Pick up an application at the INFOdesk at church or here. Complete your registration by May 22nd and get a free Kidapalooza t-shirt!
So come on kids, invite your friends, family and neighbors and join us this summer for an awesome, good time at KIDAPALOOZA!
It’s Elementary! Here’s what’s new:
This month's virtue: Forgiveness—deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn't have to pay.
This month's memory verse: “Forgive the things you are holding against one another. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13 NIrV
This month's virtue hero: 4GIV-RO
Nursery News
Want a happy and contented baby in the nursery? We do, too! A key to success is consistency. When you bring your child every week to the same service time, your baby is able to adjust from any separation anxiety they may have. Consistency also helps your child acclimate to the routine, the classroom, the other children and to get to know and recognize their teachers. It also gives their teachers an opportunity to get to know your child. Our children's ministry staff and volunteers understand the importance of your child being comfortable and happy in our nursery so that you can be comfortable and happy while you attend your adult service. It's our joy and privilege to be able to care for the little ones that God has entrusted to us. Let us know how we can best meet your child's needs.
Preschool News
During the month of May the children will learn that they can pray to Jesus anywhere and anytime.
This week, we start a new unit. The children will begin by learning that the Bible is the best book. They will discover that the Bible tells us about God, all its words are true, that Jesus loves everyone, and it tells us to obey.
Each week the children bring home a color sheet with a synopsis of the day’s lesson and a family activity on the reverse side for you to review at home with your child. This is designed so that we can partner together in carrying out the lesson and the key concept learned.

April News
Hi Parents!
Exciting things are happening this month at Bay Life Kids. We'll be learning about Easter and what that means to each of us. Read below to find out what your child will be learning!
What’s happening in preschool? We're glad you asked!
This month’s topic is Growing into a Life of Faith
During the month of April, the children will celebrate Easter and learn about this true story and where it can be found in the Bible. Children will hear stories of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem , His death, resurrection, and how He ascended into heaven.
The Key Concepts learned this month are: Jesus is the King, He is alive, and He is always with us.
Each week the children bring home a color sheet with a synopsis of the day’s lesson and a family activity on the reverse side for you to review at home with your child. This is designed so that we can partner together in carrying out the lesson and the key concept learned.
Here’s a tip for the parents of preschoolers:
Research shows that the years from birth to age five are the most impressionable time of a person's life. It is during these young years that values, beliefs, and behaviors are formed which will often stick with a person for the rest of their life.
It’s Elementary! Here’s what’s new:
Virtue: Humility—putting others first by giving up what you think you deserve.
Memory Verse: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3, NIV
This month in Elementary Ministry, we're focused on Jesus and his demonstration of serving and putting others before himself. This is a difficult idea for kids to really understand because it doesn’t come naturally. A child’s heart feels compassion for others but to give up things they consider “theirs” is hard. The first few years of life are spent developing a sense of what is “mine” and “yours”. Now we ask them to forget that idea and be willing to give up the “things” they’ve collected for the benefit of others. We all struggle with this idea, which is why, this month, we turn to the one who demonstrated this consistently in His ministry…Jesus. Take time this month to talk with your student about how they can put others first in their daily lives. Discuss Jesus’ sacrifice, putting us first and giving his life for our sins. Help them to understand, that in our every day walk, it doesn’t have to be one big effort that makes a difference but consistent small things that will change our thinking and put others first.
Easter Drama, April 24th
We're excited to make the Bible come to life this Easter. During our Kids Live services, we'll tell the story of Simon and his two sons, Alexander and Rufus. They'll travel to Jerusalem to offer a Passover sacrifice, a lamb. When they arrive, they'll find a city not rejoicing in the Passover feast, but a city in turmoil as Jesus Christ is arrested and sent to be crucified. As they watch the crosses being carried to Golgotha , they see Jesus stumbling under the weight that he bears. Simon is drawn into the story as he is forced to carry Jesus’ cross. This drama, set to the song “Watch the Lamb”, will draw our students in and show them how Christ’s suffering changed the heart of one man. Don’t let your child miss this amazing event!

Courage
Hi Parents!
We're excited about our new blog and hope you will check in with us regularly to catch up on all the latest and greatest happenings at Bay Life Kids!
“It’s ELEMENTARY, my dear Watson!”
In our elementary groups, we study a new verse and virtue every month. We also have a virtue hero for the month, each one created by a Bay Life member. Here’s what we're studying this month:
MARCH
Virtue: “Courage —being brave enough to do what you should do even when you’re afraid.”
Memory Verse: “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
Courageous bible story characters: Queen Esther, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, David and Goliath, and Daniel.
Virtue Hero: “Captain Courageous”!
Every week, the kids have an opportunity to earn hero trading cards that they can redeem for special treats or prizes. They earn hero cards for good behavior, memorizing the verse or the virtue, and/or memorizing the books of the bible. Kids love this and it makes learning fun! You can encourage learning too, by asking your elementary age child what they’ve learned each week in their class.
PRESCHOOLGrowing into a Life of Faith
During the month of March, children will learn that they can follow Jesus. Their Bible stories will be from the New Testament, including Matthew throwing a party for Jesus, Jesus' healing of a paralytic, the multiplying of a boy’s lunch, and Jesus spending time with His disciples.
Key Concepts: 1) Telling others about Jesus; 2) We can learn about Jesus; 3) Helping others and giving to others.
Each week, children will bring home a color sheet with a synopsis of their lesson and a family activity on the reverse side for you to review at home with your child. This is designed so that we can partner together in carrying out the lesson and the key concept learned.
It is a pleasure to serve your children and the people of Bay LIfe Church.

Our New Blog Posting!
Hello Parents!
Welcome to the Bay Life Church Children's Ministry blog. We hope that you'll follow us regularly as we provide you with Bay Life Kids ministry events, news and information.
We have a new children's pastor! Congratulations to Betsy Lowe as she assumes this role. Soon after Mary Aycrigg moved to Orlando and resigned her position as Children's Pastor, a nationwide search began to find the pastor that would be the best fit for us. After considering candidates from all over the country, our search lead us right back home. Betsy has always been a valuable part of our ministry and many of you know her very well as she's been serving as our Assistant Children's Pastor for several years. We're excited to now have her in this lead role.
Also joining Betsy is Wendy Stough, our new Elementary Director and Curriculum Specialist. Wendy comes to us from our Lambkins Preschool and Day Care where she has served as Assistant Director - many of you will know her as our regular Elementary worship leader. Wendy and Betsy bring us a wealth of knowledge and ministry experience that will be of great benefit to the families of Bay Life. We're so excited to see how God is going to work through these two women as they lead. Congratulations to both of them!
Our Kids First Step Class starts on March 27th. This class is for those children who have accepted Christ as their savior and want to follow Him into the next step of baptism. This class discusses salvation, baptism and also teaches children and their parents about communion, bible study and church membership. This two-week class and is held at the same time as our 9 am Sunday service and attendance by a parent or guardian is required with each child. To register, look for the First Step registration table in the Children's building lobby in March.
